Au fur et à mesure de notre travail d’accompagnement des nouveaux arrivants, nous avons remarqué que les femmes issues de l’immigration avaient de grandes difficultés à s’intégrer rapidement dans la société canadienne. De nombreux défis, d’ordre culturel, financier et social se posent pour elles. Ces défis se transforment parfois en réels freins à leur épanouissement et leur autonomie.
CICAN has therefore created this section to showcase its many workshops and actions in favor of immigrant women.
Our goal is to give visibility to these women, give them a voice and make their voices heard. But our work does not stop there. Putting words on their pain is only a gateway to better identify their needs and accompany them step by step to achieve their goals.
CICAN au féminin se veut également un espace de rencontre, d’échange convivial et de réseautage pour toutes les immigrantes d’Ottawa. Des femmes mentors seront là pour vous aider à mieux tracer votre voie vers le succès.

In 2019-2020, CICAN organized 7 culturally adapted workshops on various themes relating to violence against young girls. These workshops allowed us to identify several challenges faced by women from ethnocultural immigrant communities. We are working hard to respond effectively.
